Who we are
Solvella is provided by KRUT PTY LTD (ABN 77 694 878 165), Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). Contact us about privacy at solvella-support@googlegroups.com. This policy covers the Solvella add-on for Google Sheets, its licence server and this website.
What the add-on can access
When you install Solvella, Google asks you to allow four permissions. This is what each one is used for.

Solvella does not ask for access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts or calendar, and it cannot open any spreadsheet other than the one you are using it in.
What stays in your spreadsheet
All calculations run in Google Apps Script, on Google's servers, under your account. Your cell values, formulas, models and results are not sent to us. Saved Solver models and scenarios are stored in the spreadsheet's document properties, so people you share the spreadsheet with can see them, just like the cells. Your licence key is stored in your own Apps Script user properties.
What we receive and store
- Licence checks (Pro only). When you activate or move a key, and about once a day after that, the add-on sends your licence key, your Google account email, the product name and the version number to our licence server over HTTPS.
- What the licence server keeps from those checks. Your licence key; a SHA-256 hash of your lower-cased Google account email, combined with a secret value only the server knows so the hash can't be matched against lists of emails; and the dates the key was linked or last moved. Your account email itself is not stored or logged. It is used to compute the hash and then discarded.
- Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe sends us the buyer's email address, the Stripe customer and payment identifiers, the plan and its status. We keep these with the licence key so we can tell whether it is valid, handle refunds and resend a lost key. We never see card details.
- Network data. Cloudflare, which hosts the licence server and this website, processes IP addresses to deliver requests. We use them only for short-lived rate limiting and do not keep them.
- Support email. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write.
The add-on and this website don't use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or cookies.
Google user data
Solvella's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Spreadsheet data is used only to perform the calculation you ask for, inside your spreadsheet. It is never transferred to us or to anyone else.
- Your Google account email is used only to link a Pro licence to your account, as described above.
- We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- No person reads your Google user data, unless you send it to us yourself in a support request and ask us to look at it.
Who else processes data

These providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We don't sell or share personal information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- The account hash is replaced when you move a licence and deleted with the licence record.
- Licence and payment records are kept while the licence is active and for up to 7 years afterwards, as Australian tax law requires.
- Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted within 2 years.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep. Email solvella-support@googlegroups.com. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Depending on where you live, for example the EU, the UK or California, you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Australia you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Solvella is not directed at children under 13.
Removing the add-on
In Google Sheets choose Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons and remove Solvella. You can also revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Models and scenarios saved in a spreadsheet stay there until you delete them or the spreadsheet. To have your licence record deleted, email us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data we already hold, we will tell paying customers by email before it takes effect.
